The music on this album covers a wide range of styles from folk to rock to rockabilly to jazz. The theme of the album is the loneliness of living in a small town and the hope of making dreams reality.
NOTES
This is my third full-length album. This album was the work of many friends and myself. Ray Graffia (of the New Colony Six) co-wrote one of the tracks. Ray and his group were my constant musical inspiration during the high school years. It was a great honor just meeting him. Writing a song with him was beyond my wildest dreams. "Man on the Run" is a rock western. I'm not sure that genre even exists, but if it does..."Man on the Run" fits.
NOTES
This album is a rock western that incorporates the many sounds of rock music. The story is set in the Old West. Narration between tracks is provided by veteran actor, Will Hutchins. Will has three television series in his long list of credits, the most famous series being the tv western, "Sugarfoot." Will has also acted in many films including 2010's "The Romantics." The music on this cd is very eclectic, but rock oriented. Probably just calling it pop-rock would cover all the styles contained.
NOTES
Practice makes perfect. The songs on this album were played on a weekly basis on acoustic nights at a local club. The local audience would be familiar with them as acoustic numbers, but on this album, they get a full band treatment. It doesn't change the songs, but I think it improves them.
