The music on this album covers a wide range of styles from folk to rock to rockabilly to jazz. The theme of the album is the loneliness of living in a small town and the hope of making dreams reality.
This is my third full-length album. This album was the work of many friends and myself. Ray Graffia (of the New Colony Six) co-wrote one of the tracks. Ray and his group were my constant musical inspiration during the high school years. It was a great honor just meeting him. Writing a song with him was beyond my wildest dreams. There are also three cover songs on this album. "Midnight Cryin' Time" was written by my friend, Frank Slay with his songwriting partner Robert Crewe in 1959. It is a song that has rarely been covered., which is a shame because it ROCKS! Robert Velline (Bobby Vee) wrote the song "It's Too Late" in 1959 also Bobby sang this to me in his studio on the day of his final concert. He was a good friend and a great man. The other songs are songs I've played in person on stages around the local area. Local singer-songwriter, Jacob Dunn, has contributed one song to this album. The others are all originals. I think you can find something for every musical taste in this album. Big, big thanks to Keith McGrath's Big Gas Band (Keith McGrath, Danny Turner and Glenn Zeiner) for playing with me on the Bobby Vee track. They are a great rocking band and I enjoyed every minute of playing with them. Thanks also to the other musicians on the album: Lejoe B Young, Louis Kahl, Dean Townsend, and Nate Sisson.
